If Ireland were designing its economic operating system today, knowing what we know about climate, ecological limits, AI, demographic change and resilience -what principles, institutions, incentives and measures would we choose?

Thats what I am thinking about.

I’ve shared my first paid for post on this subject on Patreon, go join and read it.

It started with some background thinking on the impact of circularity and circular economy SMEs in Ireland, a general niggle that I have been thinking about for a while.

Combined with work I am doing for FEASTA on a Irish Enviromental Pilar Briefing paper on the Wellbeing Framework and Futures Longterm…

Other places and spaces I’ve been thinking and working in around AI and displacement of work. Education. Behavioural economics, economics in general and especially Doughnut 3.0.
In reality my question, HOW DO WE CREATE A FUTURE WORTH LIVING INTO? is about drawing together European thinking on beyond-growth, mission-oriented innovation, community wealth building, circularity and wellbeing into a coherent framework for institutional change. Not an exhaustive list but one I am planning to explore, sharing knowledge and information on how I came to this thinking.

Working towards a cohesive piece of writing… currently in forming mode.

So if if you are interested in sharing this thinking or having access to it please consider joining me as a paid member on Patreon.
