Plenty and #plenty2share

I’ve begun a new project. A snail mail pandemic endeavour to share small acts of kindness and art. The idea is to share creativity, joy, kindness and resilience.

An Ode to Mags

The project involves me creating a small piece of art, writing a message to go with it and posting it. All work will be original made by me in my studio here in Ballygarrett, Gorey Co. Wexford, Ireland.

First batch of #plenty2share leaving the studio earlier 23/3/202

I’ve bought 50 stamps for Ireland & have a donation of 10 International stamps (thanks Laura) over the next few weeks if you’d like to ask for a #plenty2share art surprise all I need is a name & address.

If you’d like to nominate someone and also receive a #plenty2share surprise post you’re invited to make a donation of stamps or cash. I’m happy to share the small pieces of art. But if you love what you get consider making a donation.

I’m also adding other things along with the art a little extra surprise & delight. If people enjoy the #plenty2share surprise I hope they will share it. The project should create a positivity ripple!

Artists and creatives are invited to request a creative prompt. Which is a small collection of things that may begin a conversation – visually, written word, music or sound.

What a roll of 50 stamps looks like!

What’s behind the project:

This project is a positive response to fear, scarcity, hoarding and the weird new Covid19 world we find ourselves in. My aim is to offer positivity, abundance, joy, kindness, creativity + resilience. In lots of ways the world no longer makes any sense. Finding meaning, processing our new reality and getting back in the studio being creative seems to allow me make more sense. I am mixing old work with new materials and found objects. So some may get painting others felt or mixed media. All the work will be A5 – A6 or DL size and be posted from Ireland.

Mixed media and found elements in the studio

If I can get donations of cash or stamps I can reach more people & bring more joy! All support for the project welcome, sponsorship, cash, stamps, RTs, radio interviews all welcome.

Irish stamps can be bought online via An Post, https://www.anpost.com/Shop/Products national stamps and international stamps welcomed. Contact me for shipping details.

Data shared with me will only be used once and only for the purpose of the #plenty2share project. Any record of names, postal address shall be deleted after post has been sent. Unless I know you personally & in that case I may keep a copy. No data shall be shared with a third party or used commercially by me.

I wonder how many people I can reach?how much art I will create? Will you join in? Who do you know that could benefit from #plenty2share or nominate yourself!
