Weekly weeds or green manure?

This is my now weekly dump down to capture my wanderings and of my way too many open tabs. Weeds or green manure whats been catching my attention and holding my interest online this last week.

What I really want to work on:

Managing Your Impacts on the SDGs and the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact learn how to assess and improve your company’s contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the SDG Action Manager — a new impact management solution that enables companies to take meaningful business action and track progress through dynamic self-assessment, benchmarking and improvement.

EVENTS

What is Development? Comhlamh 30 – 40 minutes learning event. On my list to do.

Spirit of Canada Dialogue Project – exploring and teaching how to facilitate hosting polarity in yourself and in a group. Co-create the concepts of how we will engage the dialogue participants across the country for a brave and wise Canada who can lead in the complexity of the 21st Century. I’ve signed up for learning how to. From Kara I learned about Flourishing Futures.

I briefly joined an Unconference last weekend called Flourishing Futures — a 3-Day, Global Event for Facilitators & Changemakers. I was really drawn to the event through the framing:
This is not the time to go our separate ways. Instead, let’s combine our genius, passion, and spirit to serve an interconnected, volatile world. So, we invite us all to consider:

  • What are the issues and opportunities for creating a flourishing future together?
  • What kind of future do we dream of, and how will we collaborate to get there?
  • What awakenings will we spark? How will we build and share? How will we sustain and amplify our impact?

We invite you to a caring space to envision a flourishing future and to unite around projects and actions that will take us there!

A real unconference using open space technology giving time to the conversations and progressing them over three days. A really broad group of people, amazing facilitation and holding of the sessions and tech. It was the first time I’d used QiqoChat so that was curious too. Eventbrite page.

Someone shared this at the unconference, yes it resonates.

My last exhibition in 2014 before the car collision was called Head, Hand and Heart. 3 makers a potter, glass and felt maker coming together with soul. I showed my large developing abstracted text drawings for the first time along side felted landscapes and Christmas decorations of beaded and needle felted baubles. A lifetime has passed along the road since then.
