Our eldest son departed today on his second life adventure. Although on his first departure he asked “I’m leaving for good how do you feel about it” I was delighted to see him off adventuring, making videos, honing his craft defining his photographs and tweaking his edits. He did spectacularly well and in 4 months earned and paced his way through travels, hostels and grub making content.
Proud we were.
This time as he heads to Australia as an ambassador for USIT I’m so very sad… it’s illogical!
He is off living his best life. I’m delighted for him. He works hard, grafts, hustles it’s great to see him make good and get out and on with his life. He is creative, talented, moody, broody and mega! He will do great things. Heck! He already has.
It’s a weird visceral thing being a mammy. I love him, my heart is blown wide open…
As my eldest son moves to a different hemisphere Seamus Heaney’s poetry springs to mind
